Stress is a significant factor in mental health problems including anxiety and depression. It is also linked to physical health problems for example heart disease, insomnia, problems with our immune system and digestive problems.
According to a survey commissioned by the Mental Health Foundation, 74% of adults have felt so stressed in 2018 that they felt overwhelmed and couldn’t cope. 39% of 18-24 year olds said they had experienced suicidal feelings as a result of stress.
